Is Trainaq right for a Pilates instructor?

Yes, if you teach mat or reformer Pilates in small classes, privates or duets. As a Pilates instructor app, Trainaq runs your class timetable with seat limits and a waitlist, books privates from your hours, sells memberships with class counts and tracks every payment. Clients book in a free app. It doesn’t book individual reformers.

  • Group classes with waitlists on Pro and Studio; privates and duets on every plan
  • Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and no card is needed.
  • Clients use the free Trainaq app on iPhone and Android
  • UPI, cards and netbanking through Razorpay, with GST invoices

Why instructors switch

Why do Pilates instructors outgrow WhatsApp and paper class cards?

Because a small class leaves no room for mistakes. When bookings come by message, two clients both think they have the last reformer, a late drop-out leaves a spot empty, and class cards live on paper. One timetable with seat limits, a waitlist and counts on every membership sorts out all three.

Before

The last spot, booked twice

Bookings arrive by DM and in group chats, and two clients turn up for the same reformer.

Before

Class cards on paper

Who has used 7 of their 10 classes, and whose card ran out last week? Only your notebook knows.

Before

Home practice nobody sees

You send a list of exercises for the days between classes and never learn whether anyone did them.

A week with Trainaq

What does a week with Trainaq look like for a Pilates instructor?

New clients fill in your intake before their first class. Your weekly classes and private hours are set once, clients book them in the app and the waitlist fills cancelled spots. Between classes they follow a home practice with demos, and memberships count every class and private, so you know who has paid and who is running low.

  1. New clients fill in your intake

Clients join with your invite link, sent on WhatsApp in one tap, and answer your intake form, so you know about a sore back, a recent birth or a doctor’s advice before they first step on the mat.

    • The default form asks about injuries and pain, health conditions and pregnancy
    • Edit the questions in Trainaq Coach
    • Send the form again when something changes
Trainaq web dashboard: a client's overview: this week's workouts and food days, and their intake answers on goals, injuries and health
  2. Sell class counts, privates and duets

Create membership plans the way you already sell: a month with 8 mat classes, a block of 10 privates, both on one plan, unlimited classes, or a couple plan for two people who train together.

    • A one-time admission fee, if you charge one
    • Monthly plans on UPI AutoPay or a card mandate
Trainaq web dashboard: membership plans in rupees and one in US dollars, with class and PT allowances and a monthly auto-pay plan
  3. Clients book your classes and privates

Set up each class type once, with its length, seats and cancellation cut-off, and schedule it every week. Open your private hours with notice, buffer and up to four session lengths; privates get reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before. Clients book both in the Trainaq app.

    • Seats per class, set to the reformers or mats you have
    • A waitlist that books the next client and tells them by push
    • Mark who came from an hour before; a no-show can keep the class used
Trainaq client app: group classes to book, one full with a waitlist to join and two already booked
Trainaq Coach app: the calendar of upcoming 1:1 sessions by day, with the availability button and tabs for upcoming, day and classes
  4. Set home practice between classes

Build a short mat routine from 450+ exercise demo videos, among them our own 3D mat Pilates demos. Assign it to one client or up to 100 at once, and clients follow it in the app with the demo, a rest timer and their last numbers.

    • Track moves by reps and holds by time
    • See every logged set, and the note a client leaves you
Trainaq client app: the workout player on a push-up, with the 3D demo, last time's reps, a personal record on set 1 and the sets still to log
    Plank
  5. Get paid and see what’s left

Clients pay from a payment link or in the Trainaq app, and cash or UPI paid to you directly is recorded in full or in part, with the rest due on a date you pick.

    • Classes and privates left, counted separately on every membership
    • A write-off for a due you let go
    • A GST invoice or receipt for every payment
Trainaq web dashboard: current memberships with how long each runs, the days left and the class or PT sessions left
  6. Keep clients coming back

Clients see their days and classes left and can ask for a freeze when they travel or need a break. Before a membership ends they get a renewal reminder by push and email, 7, 3 and 1 days ahead unless it renews on AutoPay, and you see renewals coming due as early as you choose.

    • Approve a freeze request, or decline it with a reason
    • Message one client, a tag such as “Tuesday mat”, or everyone
    • Weekly check-ins for clients on a home program
Trainaq client app: the client's membership, valid for 83 more days with unlimited classes and 18 of 24 PT sessions left, with booking and payment links

What you use most

Which Trainaq features do Pilates instructors use most?

Group classes for the timetable, 1:1 booking for privates and duets, and memberships with class and session counts to sell them. The exercise library covers home practice, the intake form asks about injuries before the first class, and payments and dues keep the money straight.

Payments

Can my Pilates clients pay me online?

Your clients pay by UPI, card or netbanking through Razorpay, from a payment link or in the Trainaq app, with UPI AutoPay for monthly plans. Cash, UPI to your own account and part payments are recorded at the desk, dues are tracked, and every payment gets a receipt or a GST invoice with your GSTIN.

Plans

Which Trainaq plan fits a Pilates instructor?

Group classes with waitlists are on Pro and Studio, where most instructors who teach classes start. If you teach only privates and duets, 1:1 booking and memberships are on every plan. Plans differ by active clients and coach accounts. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and no card is needed.

Most Pilates instructors start on Pro: ₹999 + GST a month for up to 50 active clients, with 5 coach accounts.

Honest gaps

What doesn’t Trainaq do for Pilates instructors yet?

Trainaq books a place in a class, not a particular reformer, and keeps no list of your equipment. Classes have no reminder pushes or calendar files yet, and a scheduled class can’t move to a new time. Our demos cover mat work, not the reformer, and there is no public timetable page for new clients.

  • Film your reformer exercises and add them as your own
  • To change a class’s time, cancel it and schedule a new one; booked clients get a push and their class back
  • Booking a class needs a membership, so sell a one-class membership for drop-ins
  • Clients abroad pay by international card where the Razorpay account accepts it

Getting started

How do I move my Pilates clients over to Trainaq?

Send each of your clients your invite link by WhatsApp, SMS or email. They install the free Trainaq app, fill in your intake form and land in your space with the plan you assign. There is no spreadsheet import yet, so you add clients one at a time, from Trainaq Coach or the web dashboard.

FAQ

Pilates instructors FAQ

Can I limit a reformer class to the number of machines?

Yes, by seats. Set the class’s seats to the number of reformers, and once it is full, clients join the waitlist. When someone cancels, the first client on the waitlist with classes left is booked and told by push. Clients book a place in the class, not a numbered machine; Trainaq keeps no equipment list.

Can I run duets and semi-private sessions?

Yes. For a duet, sell a couple plan: two people, one payment and one shared pool of sessions, and they book a private for both of them in the app. For two or three clients who pay separately, schedule a class with two or three seats; group classes are on Pro and Studio.

Can clients book and cancel classes themselves?

Yes. In the Trainaq app, clients see the next 14 days of classes, book one, join the waitlist when it is full, or cancel inside your cut-off. Each booking uses a class from their membership, an in-time cancel gives it back, and a late cancel or no-show keeps it used unless you switch that rule off.

Does Trainaq have Pilates exercise videos?

Yes, for mat work. Our own 3D demos include the Hundred, the Roll-Up, the Teaser and Swimming, with more mat moves as we render them. There are no reformer demos yet, so add your own reformer, ring or ball exercises with a video of up to 60 seconds or a YouTube link.

Can I teach Pilates online with Trainaq?

Yes. Add your Zoom or Google Meet link to an online class or to your private sessions, and clients get a Join button in the app 15 minutes before the start. Privates show in each client’s own time zone. Trainaq doesn’t host the call or create the meeting; you use your own account.

How many clients can I teach on Trainaq?

Starter covers up to 10 active clients, Pro up to 50 and Studio up to 200. Each client counts once while active or paused, whether they come to classes, privates or both, and archived clients don’t count. Reaching the limit blocks only adding new clients; everyone already with you keeps their access.

Do my clients pay for the Trainaq app?

No. Clients download Trainaq for free on iPhone or Android and join with your invite link. You pay for your Trainaq plan, and clients pay you for your classes and privates through their membership. Only clients you invite see your business, and no client sees another client’s membership or payments.
