Everfit vs Trainerize vs TrueCoach (2026): prices compared, and a cheaper option

Everfit vs Trainerize vs TrueCoach compared on monthly price at 10, 50 and 200 active clients, using each vendor's own pricing page, plus a lower-cost option at the same counts.

We make Trainaq, one of the apps covered here, so weigh our picks with that in mind.

Everfit vs Trainerize comes down to price at your client count. On the vendors' own pricing pages, checked on 16 Oct 2026 and billed monthly, Everfit is the cheaper of the two at 10, 50 and 200 clients. TrueCoach is priced separately and lists no plan above 50 clients. Trainaq, our recommended choice, costs less than all three at the client counts on its comparison pages.

This post sets the three apps side by side on dated facts, then shows how to compare any coaching app at your own client count. It also explains how coach apps differ from consumer workout apps, and what Trainaq includes. Competitor facts come only from each vendor's own pricing page, and prices exclude add-ons and taxes.

Everfit vs Trainerize vs TrueCoach: how do the prices compare?

Billed monthly, the cheapest plan of each app that covers the client count is shown below. Prices are in US dollars, before add-ons and taxes, from the official pricing pages on 16 Oct 2026.

What does each price page actually say?

The headline price is only part of the picture, because each vendor sells plans in a different way. Here is what each page states, as read on 16 Oct 2026.

Trainerize

Trainerize prices its Pro plans by client seats. Pro 15 has up to 15 client seats and up to 1 trainer seat, Pro 50 has up to 50 client seats and 3 trainer seats, and Pro 200 has up to 200 client seats and 5 trainer seats.

Its pricing page also lists paid add-ons on Grow and Pro: Advanced Nutrition Coaching, Stripe Integrated Payments, Business and Video Coaching. They are not in the compared price, and the page does not say any of them is required. The page opens on annual billing, so the table uses monthly billing for a fair match. Everfit

Everfit's Starter plan is listed as Forever Free for up to 5 clients, and its Pro plan is priced by client tier. Paid add-ons (Payments & Packages, Meal Plans & Recipe Books, Autoflow and On-Demand Collections) are not in the compared price.

The page shows lower prices when billed annually, and it shows a dollar sign without naming a currency. Source: Everfit pricing, checked on 16 Oct 2026.

TrueCoach

TrueCoach lists a Starter plan for up to 5 active clients, a Standard plan for up to 20 and a Pro plan for up to 50. Above 50 clients its page asks larger coaches to get in touch for special pricing, so there is no published price at 200 clients.

The page states that all prices are in USD, and it shows lower monthly prices on annual billing. Source: TrueCoach pricing, checked on 16 Oct 2026.

How do you compare coaching apps at your own client count?

The fair way to compare coaching apps is to price the cheapest plan that covers your real number of active clients, on the same billing period, then add what you need on top. Follow these steps.

  1. Count active clients, not sign-ups. Count only clients who currently have access to your coaching. Ask each vendor how it defines an active client or a seat.
  2. Plan for the next 12 months. If you expect to grow past a tier, price that tier too, since a jump between tiers changes the monthly cost.
  3. Use the same billing period. Annual billing shows a lower monthly figure on most pages. Compare monthly with monthly, or annual with annual.
  4. List the add-ons you need. Payments, nutrition and video coaching may be separate line items. Add them to the base price.
  5. Check trainer seats. If you have assistants or other trainers, confirm how many coach accounts each plan includes.
  6. Check what your clients pay. Find out whether clients need a paid app or a free one.
  7. Test it with real clients. Use a free trial to build one real program and invite two or three clients before committing.

Checklist: features to confirm before you pay

  • Workout builder with exercise demo videos
  • Programs assignable to one client or many
  • Nutrition: meal plans and food logging
  • Check-ins and progress photos
  • Chat with clients
  • Session booking and payments
  • Reminders sent automatically
  • A client app that works offline

Which of the three should you choose?

The price pages alone do not decide this. Pick based on your client count, the add-ons you need and whether the plan structure matches how you coach. Trainerize prices by client and trainer seats, Everfit has a free tier for up to 5 clients plus tiered Pro plans, and TrueCoach has plans up to 50 clients with special pricing beyond.

If you want an option that costs less at the client counts compared above, Trainaq is our recommended choice. Its comparison pages show the price next to each app at 10, 50 and 200 clients, so you can check the difference yourself.

Coach apps vs consumer workout apps: what is the difference?

A coach app is software a trainer uses to run clients: programs, check-ins, chat, nutrition and payments. A consumer workout app is built for one person to train alone and replaces the coach rather than supporting one.

The three apps in this post are coach apps. If you coach clients, you need the first kind: a place to assign plans, see progress and stay in touch. Consumer workout apps are a different category and are not compared here.

What does Trainaq include?

Trainaq is two apps: Trainaq Coach for you and a free client app for your clients. Coaches keep clients, plans, progress and payments in one place instead of WhatsApp, spreadsheets and PDFs. Trainaq Coach runs on iPhone, Android and the web (app.trainaq.com).

For the coach

  • 600+ exercises with 1,600+ HD 3D demo videos, made by Trainaq, in the workout builder and in the client app. See the workout builder and the exercise library.
  • AI drafts on the web dashboard: AI drafts workouts, multi-week programs and weekly meal plans from what you ask for, and nothing reaches a client until you review and assign it.
  • Clients, plans and check-ins: clients with tags and intake answers, programs and meal plans assigned to one client or many, check-ins and chat.
  • Habit tracking: you give each client daily habits (water, steps, sleep or your own) on chosen days and see adherence over 7 and 28 days.
  • Automated reminders: sessions and classes 24 hours and 1 hour before, check-ins on the day they are due, habits at the client's chosen time and memberships 7, 3 and 1 days before they end, with quiet hours respected.
  • Calendar, memberships and a team with roles, plus payments and dues.

For the client

Clients use the free Trainaq client app on iPhone and Android, joining through their coach's invite link. They see today's workout with demo videos, calorie and macro targets, habits and streaks, check-ins, progress photos and measurements, and chat with the coach. They can also book classes and sessions, and pay.

Workouts, food logs and habit ticks save offline and sync later. Steps, sleep and heart rate come from Apple Health or Health Connect.

AI food photo logging

A client takes or picks a photo of a meal. AI lists each food with an estimated weight, Trainaq matches it to its food library for calories and macros, and the client checks it before logging. You see it in the client's food log. Clients can also log by search or barcode. Read more on the AI food photos page.

For coaches in India

Clients in India pay their coach online by UPI, card or netbanking, with GST invoices. Cash and part payments are tracked as dues.
