# Apple Health, Health Connect and Razorpay, connected to your coaching.

Trainaq’s Apple Health integration and Health Connect bring your clients’ steps, sleep and heart rate into their progress, and Razorpay takes their payments in India. Zoom and Google Meet links, calendar files, food barcodes and WhatsApp links cover the rest. Here is what connects, how, and what doesn’t yet.

Where it works: Trainaq client app · Apple Health and Health Connect; Trainaq Coach and the web · Razorpay, Zoom and Google Meet links; Both apps · add to calendar and WhatsApp links.

## What does Trainaq integrate with?

Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android, which brings in Samsung Health and Fitbit, for steps, sleep, heart rate, weight and workouts. Razorpay for client payments in India. Pasted Zoom and Google Meet links, add-to-calendar files, Open Food Facts barcodes and WhatsApp links. Each is explained below, with what it doesn’t do.

- Health sync is on Pro and Studio
- Read only: Trainaq never writes to your clients’ health apps
- Online payments through Razorpay for businesses in India
- Meeting links and calendar files, with no calendar sync or Zoom API

## How does the Apple Health integration work?

Your client connects Apple Health on iPhone, or Health Connect on Android, from the Progress tab of the Trainaq app. The first sync reads the last 30 days. After that, Trainaq reads new data when they open Today, at most every 30 minutes, or when they tap Sync now. You see it on their progress page.

- Read only: Trainaq never writes to Apple Health or Health Connect
- The client chooses what to share in the phone’s own permission sheet
- Stop syncing and delete the synced data from the same screen; nothing is deleted from the phone
- Health sync is on Pro and Studio

## Which health data does Trainaq read?

Six kinds of data, kept as one row per day: steps, sleep, resting and average heart rate, weight, active calories and workouts with their minutes. Nothing else is read, and nothing is written back. Clients see steps, sleep and weight charts on Progress, and you see the numbers on the client’s progress page.

- **Steps.** The day’s total as the health app counts it, without duplicates. Pro and Studio.
- **Sleep.** Time asleep; time in bed awake is left out.
- **Heart rate.** Resting heart rate and the day’s average.
- **Weight.** Weigh-ins that also feed the client’s weight trend.
- **Active calories.** The energy burned in activity that day.
- **Workouts.** How many workouts and how many minutes.

GPS routes, pace or Strava imports, and writing Trainaq workouts back to the health app.

## Does Trainaq work with Samsung Health and Fitbit?

Yes, through Health Connect on Android. Samsung Health, Fitbit and other apps share their steps, sleep and workouts with Health Connect, and Trainaq reads them from there. There is no direct Samsung or Fitbit login. On iPhone, Trainaq reads Apple Health, which gathers data from the apps the client allows.

- **Apple Health.** On iPhone. The client connects it from Progress and picks what to share. Pro and Studio.
- **Health Connect.** On Android. If it is missing or out of date, the app links to the Play Store to install it. Pro and Studio.
- **Samsung Health.** Through Health Connect, once Samsung Health shares its data there.
- **Fitbit.** Through Health Connect on Android. There is no direct Fitbit connection.

## How do clients pay you through Razorpay?

Businesses in India connect Razorpay in one of two ways, and clients then pay by UPI, card or netbanking on a Trainaq payment page. Monthly memberships can renew by UPI AutoPay or a card mandate, and clients abroad pay by international card. Every payment gets a receipt or a GST invoice.

- **Razorpay through Trainaq.** Complete KYC and add your bank account once in the app; your share is paid out to your bank. Trainaq keeps 3.5% + GST per payment, with Razorpay’s own charge included.
- **Your own Razorpay account.** Connect it on Razorpay’s consent page. Payments settle to you, Trainaq takes no fee, and Razorpay’s own charges apply.
- **UPI AutoPay and card mandates.** The first payment of a monthly membership sets up auto-pay, which the client can turn off.
- **Payment links.** Send a link for a membership, a balance or a charge on WhatsApp, by email or from any app.
- **Online payments outside India (coming soon).** Businesses outside India record cash and bank transfers, with dues tracked, until online payments arrive for them.

## How do Zoom and Google Meet links work in Trainaq?

You paste a Zoom or Google Meet link as your default for 1:1 sessions, for one session or for a class type, and clients get a Join button around the start time. Trainaq doesn’t connect to the Zoom or Google APIs, so it never creates meetings for you; it checks the link and shows it.

- **A default link.** Set it once with your availability and every 1:1 session uses it.
- **One link per session.** Paste a different link on any single session.
- **Online classes.** Give a class type a meeting link and booked clients can join from the app.
- **Only real meeting links.** Trainaq accepts Zoom and Google Meet links that start with https.

## Can sessions go into your calendar app?

Yes, as a calendar file. Every 1:1 session in both apps has Add to calendar, which hands the phone an event to save. When a session moves, adding it again updates the same event instead of creating a second one. Trainaq doesn’t sync with calendar accounts, so a change reaches your calendar only when you add the file again.

- Works with the calendar app on iPhone and Android
- Times in each person’s own time zone
- Push reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before each session

## Where does Trainaq’s barcode data come from?

From Open Food Facts, the open database of packaged foods. A client scans a barcode in the Trainaq app, or types it in, and Trainaq looks it up and shows the product with its nutrition to log. Answers are cached, the data is credited to Open Food Facts, and a miss offers a quick add.

- Reads EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and UPC-E barcodes
- A torch for dim kitchens, and a field to type the number
- Logs offline into the day and meal the client chose

## How does Trainaq use WhatsApp?

Through WhatsApp links, which open WhatsApp on your phone or computer with the message ready to send. Invites, a one-tap chat with a client and payment links all use them, and Trainaq support answers WhatsApp messages. The WhatsApp Business API, for messages from your own business number, is coming soon.

- **Invite links.** The client’s invite opens in WhatsApp, addressed to their number when you have it.
- **One-tap chat.** A WhatsApp button on each client’s profile in Trainaq Coach.
- **Payment links.** Open WhatsApp with the payment message ready, from the web dashboard.
- **WhatsApp Business API (coming soon).** Reminders and messages from your own WhatsApp Business number, as an add-on.

## FAQ

### Does Trainaq work with Fitbit?

Yes, on Android through Health Connect. Fitbit shares steps, sleep and workouts with Health Connect, and Trainaq reads them from there once the client connects Health Connect in the Trainaq app. There is no direct Fitbit login, and on iPhone Trainaq reads Apple Health instead.

### Can Trainaq write workouts to Apple Health?

No. Trainaq only reads from Apple Health and Health Connect: steps, sleep, heart rate, weight, active calories and workouts. Workouts your client logs in Trainaq stay in Trainaq, where you see every set and personal record. A client can stop syncing and delete the synced data at any time.

### Does Trainaq sync with my calendar?

Not as a live sync. Each 1:1 session offers Add to calendar, a file your phone saves as an event, and a moved session updates that event when you add it again. Sessions and classes also show in Trainaq’s own calendar, and sessions get push reminders a day and an hour before.

### Does Trainaq create Zoom meetings for me?

No. You create the meeting in Zoom or Google Meet and paste its link into Trainaq, as a default for your sessions, for one session or for a class type. Trainaq checks that it is a Zoom or Meet link and shows clients a Join button around the start time.

### Which payment gateways does Trainaq support?

Razorpay, for businesses in India: through Trainaq’s account, or your own Razorpay account connected in a few steps. Clients pay by UPI, card or netbanking, and clients abroad by international card. Businesses outside India can’t take online payments yet; that is coming soon, and until then they record cash and transfers.

### Who can see a client’s health data?

Only the client and the coaching business they joined. Synced data feeds the client’s own charts and their coach’s progress view, and other clients never see it. The client can stop syncing and delete the synced data at any time, and deleting their account removes it from Trainaq.
