# TrueCoach Pricing in 2026: Plans, Fees and a Cheaper Option

TrueCoach costs $26.34 to $136.99/month for 5 to 50 clients, plus 5% on payments. Trainaq covers 50 clients for $39/month with AI food logging included.

TrueCoach pricing runs from $26.34 to $136.99 a month for 5 to 50 active clients, as of October 2026: Starter is $26.34 for 5 clients, Standard $57.99 for 20 and Pro $136.99 for 50. Client payments taken through TrueCoach carry a flat 5% fee per transaction, according to its help centre.

If price is the main question, Trainaq is the cheaper option. Trainaq Pro covers up to 50 active clients for $39/month, or $35/month billed annually ($420/year). AI food photo logging and a weekly AI client digest are included on every plan, diet plans are built in rather than routed through MyFitnessPal, and the client app is free for your clients on iOS and Android.

## TrueCoach pricing: plans at a glance

TrueCoach has three published plans. Each is capped by active clients.

The annual footnote says the free months are "equivalent month(s) free when comparing the total cost of annual billing with the total cost of monthly billing". TrueCoach does not print an annual price, so any annual figure is an estimate. If "2 months free" means you pay for 10 of 12 months, Pro comes to about $114.16/month (136.99 × 10 ÷ 12) and Standard to about $48.33/month. That is our arithmetic, not a TrueCoach quote.

The tiers jump sharply. Your 6th client moves you from $26.34 to $57.99. Your 21st client moves you from $57.99 to $136.99, an extra $79 a month for one more client.

## TrueCoach vs Trainaq price by client count

Here is what each app costs at 5, 20 and 50 active clients, on monthly billing, as of October 2026.

Trainaq Starter covers 10 clients, so a coach with 6 to 10 clients stays on $19. On TrueCoach that same coach is already on Standard at $57.99. Between 21 and 50 clients, Trainaq stays at $39 while TrueCoach Pro is $136.99.

Over a year on monthly billing, 50 clients costs $1,643.88 on TrueCoach Pro (136.99 × 12) and $468 on Trainaq Pro (39 × 12). Billed annually, Trainaq Pro is $420 for the year. Trainaq Starter is $205/year ($17/month). Until 31 Dec 2026, or until the first 100 coaches join, Trainaq's founder offer gives 14 months for the price of 12 on yearly plans. ## What you actually pay on TrueCoach

The plan price is not the whole bill if you collect client payments inside the app.

TrueCoach's pricing page lists "Free Automated Payments", and its FAQ answers the question about extra fees with "Nope, what you see is what you get." Its help centre adds the detail: "we don't charge you for payments, there is a fee for processing transactions", and "This is a flat 5% fee per transaction."

Here is what that means at 50 clients if you take $1,000 a month in client payments through TrueCoach:

The fee grows with your revenue. At $5,000 a month in client payments, the 5% fee is $250, which brings the total to $386.99 a month.

The payment picture on Trainaq is different, and it depends on where you coach:

- **In India**, clients pay by UPI or card through Razorpay Route, and the money settles straight to your own bank. Trainaq keeps 3.5% + GST per payment, with Razorpay's charge included. - **Outside India**, on Pro and Studio, clients pay through your own Stripe or PayPal account, in your currency and straight to you, with no Trainaq fee; Stripe or PayPal charge their own fees. On every plan you can record cash and part payments and track dues.

So, for a US coach who wants to take card payments inside the coaching app right now, TrueCoach does that and Trainaq does not yet. You pay 5% for it.

Everything else on every Trainaq plan: chat, intake forms, weekly check-ins, memberships, automations and reminders, PT session booking and GST invoices. Pro adds group classes with booking and waitlists, Apple Health and Health Connect sync, leads and follow-ups, Google Meet and Calendar, and automated WhatsApp notifications.

The biggest functional gap is nutrition. TrueCoach says its MyFitnessPal integration "lets coaches set custom calorie, macro, and nutrition plans in one place", so clients log food in a second app. On Trainaq, clients log meals inside the client app, including by photo with [AI food photo logging](https://trainaq.com/features/ai-food-photo), and you build diet plans in the same place as workouts.

## Who TrueCoach suits

TrueCoach is a solid, focused product, and for some coaches it is worth the price.

- **Strength and program-focused coaches.** TrueCoach is built around the program and workout builder. If your coaching is mostly lifting programs and form feedback, with little nutrition work, the MyFitnessPal route may be enough.
- **Coaches who want a bigger video library.** TrueCoach says it has 3,500+ professionally recorded exercise demonstrations. (Its plan cards say 3,000+.) That is more than Trainaq's 1,600+ HD videos, though Trainaq records each exercise in male and female versions.
- **Coaches who want their own branded app.** TrueCoach lists a "Custom-Branded Fitness App" on Standard and Pro with no extra cost shown. Trainaq does not offer a custom-branded app.
- **US coaches on a small client count who want in-app card payments.** TrueCoach's automated payments work now, at a 5% fee. On Trainaq, your own Stripe or PayPal is on Pro and Studio.

If one of those is a hard requirement, TrueCoach is a reasonable choice. Just price the tier you'll be on in 12 months, not the one you start on, and add the 5% payment fee to your budget.

## Trainaq as the cheaper option

For most coaches comparing on cost, Trainaq does more for less:

- **Lower price at every client count we checked.** $19 for up to 10 clients and $39 for up to 50, against $26.34, $57.99 and $136.99 on TrueCoach.
- **AI included, not bolted on.** AI food photo logging and the weekly AI client digest come with every plan. Pro adds an AI diet and workout builder.
- **Nutrition in the same app.** Diet plans, food logging and barcode scanning (via Open Food Facts) sit inside Trainaq, so clients don't juggle a second app.
- **Room to grow.** Pro includes 5 coach accounts. Studio is $79/month ($71/month billed annually) for up to 200 active clients and 25 coach accounts.

Trainaq's honest limits: it is newer than TrueCoach, it has no custom-branded app, its video library is smaller, Zoom is coming soon rather than live, and payments outside India (your own Stripe or PayPal) are on Pro and Studio only.
